External and removable hard disks

External hard disk is a separate freestanding hard disk that connect with a cable to a USB port o Fire wire port on the system unit or communicates wirelessly. A removable hard disks is a hard disks that you insert and remove from a drive.

External and removable hard disks offer the following advantage over internal hard disk:


1) Transport a large number of file

2) Back up important or an entire internal hard disks

3) Easily store large audio and video files

4) Secure your data for example at the end of a work session remove the hard      
    disk and lock it up leaving no data In the computer.

5) Add storage space to notebook computer including netbooks and tablet pc

6) Add storage space to desktop computer without having to open the system            
    unit o connect to a network.
